This would favor Obama. However, another exit poll statistic that is already being reported favors Clinton. Indiana is an open primary and that means that Republicans can cross over and vote in the Democratic primary and those members of the GOP that are willing to do that are leaning heavily to Hillary Clinton. Can republicans score her a desperately needed victory to keep her campaign afloat?
Clinton really needed a big turnout from conservative Democrats in the state to win Indiana and it seems as if the rural voters are staying at home and not voting. if this exit polling is accurate she might be in serious trouble. In North Carolina, CNN is reporting that their exit polls have showed that Jeremiah Wright and the controversy surrounding Obama’s spiritual mentor and pastor has had mixed results as well, but it has hurt his campaign.
Right now it appears that North Carolina might be an easy victory for Barack Obama and it will be a dogfight in Indiana. The results will be here when the polls close in both states. Check the stats and the vote count at the top of the page.
